Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. We built a service around it, after all. Privacy policies always sound scary because we have to cover our asses with legal speak. In reality, we don't track you and don't want to. We also want to make sure your notes are for your eyes only (unless you make them public) even to the people running the service. The basic gist of this whole thing is as follows:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services. We do not store ANY payment information at all on our servers.
  • In our products, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, seen by search engines, kept private, and permanently deleted.

Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals: (Note: This privacy policy was taken from Auttomatic.com and modified to suit our purposes. This license and the original are licensed under a Creative Commons Sharealike license which means you can grab theirs and use it as your own or you can take ours here and use it as your own. The only conditions for using this Privacy Policy in your own project is to give attribution, a link, to where you got it and to replace any references to us with your own)

If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please contact our support team.

In each case, Write.app collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Write.app. Write.app does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
